Who we are
Beta Freight Services Ltd(“we”, “us”) is the data controller for the personal data described in this policy. We are registered in England & Wales (company no. 12345678) and with the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO registration ZA123456).

What we collect
We only collect what you choose to send us when you get in touch by WhatsApp or phone:
- Contact details — your name and phone number (and your WhatsApp profile name if you message us there).
- Job details — pickup and drop-off locations, van type, collection date and any notes you provide.
This website does not have any forms, accounts or online payment, and we do not collect or store card details.
How we use your data and our lawful bases
- To answer your enquiry and quote your job — lawful basis: taking steps at your request before entering a contract.
- To arrange, fulfil and invoice a booking — lawful basis: performance of a contract with you.
- To keep proper business and accounting records — lawful basis: our legitimate interests and legal obligations (e.g. tax).
Messaging us on WhatsApp
When you contact us through WhatsApp, your message is also handled by WhatsApp (Meta) under its own privacy policy. We use your message only to respond to your enquiry and arrange your delivery.
Who we share it with
We share the minimum necessary with the driver or transport partner carrying out your delivery. We never sell your personal data.
How long we keep it
- Enquiries that don’t lead to a booking — kept for up to 12 months, then deleted.
- Booking and payment records — kept for 6 years to meet UK accounting and tax requirements.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you have the right to:
- access a copy of the personal data we hold about you;
- have inaccurate data corrected;
- have your data erased where there is no overriding reason to keep it;
- restrict or object to certain processing;
- data portability; and
- withdraw consent at any time.

Cookies
This site uses only essential cookies needed for it to function. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies, so there is no intrusive consent banner.
